The creation process:
- Setting up and sizing - I start by putting on gloves, gathering the required sizes, and attaching them to the stands.
- Shaping and buffing - Then, using a nail file, I shape the nail to the desired shape and buff off the shine using a buffing block. Using isopropyl alcohol, I remove any dust.
- Base coat, colour coat, art and top coat - I then apply a base coat and paint the design that the customer has requested. I then redefine the shape with a file and apply a generous amount of top coat to lock in the design.
- Package and clean - When the nails are finished, I prepare the cases by removing the protective packaging and applying two rows of double-sided tape to the inside of the case, ready for the nails to be placed. Then I take each nail from its stand and double-check for any quality issues before attaching them to the tape. Once all the nails have been quality checked and placed securely in the case, I clean the nails with isopropyl alcohol, close the lid and place them inside a protective plastic sleeve and seal with a sticker.
- Ready to ship - I package the freshly made custom press-on nails with tissue paper inside of a box, ready to ship them to their new home!
